5 - Fully Meeting Expectation
Plays hard all class. Outstanding attitude. Listens to all instructions, plays by all the rules of the game. Displays leadership skills. Encourages others. Aware and interested in the safety and well-being of others. Takes on responsibilities.
4 - Meeting Expectation
Plays hard most of the class. Positive attitude. Works co-operatively and respectfully. Takes on responsibility in areas of interest, plays fair, usually considers safety.
3 - Minimally Meeting Expectation
Works hard when encouraged. Displays effort & positive attitude only in activities of interest or with friends. Requires reminders to work co-operatively, respectfully or safely.
2 - Approaching Expectations
Minimal participation. Negative attitude (I can't, I'm bored, I hate this). Lack of regards for safety, difficulty working with others, requires reminders to remain on task or follow instructions.
1 - Not Yet Meeting Expectations
Unwilling to participate or follow instruction. Disrespectful towards their peers or teacher. A major infraction regarding safety
If you are unable to participate you can either become a teacher helper or complete a P.E. make-up assignment, which is used to replace the student’s P.E. mark for that day.

In a three (3) page, double spaced, typed paper, discuss how five (5) common health risk factors can significantly impact a person’s overall wellness and physical fitness. In this assignment, define wellness and physical fitness. List five (5) common health risk factors (obesity, high blood pressure, smoking, etc.) and define how each one can play a major role in a person’s overall health. Finally, explain how a person who suffers from one or more health risk factors can increase their health and overall fitness (regular doctor visits, exercise, etc.).
Assignment # 11: Muscular Strength & Muscular Endurance
In a three (3) page, double spaced, typed paper, discuss why muscular strength and muscular endurance are important factors when weight training. In this assignment, define muscular strength and muscular endurance. Research “muscular fitness” and develop a plan for an individual who is a novice in the area of weight training. This may include the frequency, intensity, and time considered when learning how to properly weight train. Finally, explain how weight training and muscular fitness are important in maintaining good health and overall fitness.
